    • Obituary:

      The passing of Carroll Ray Hatheway of Fredericton, NB, husband of Dianne Hatheway (Bowater) occurred on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at York Care Centre. Born on February 6, 1944 in Juniper, NB, he was the son of the late Ralph and Arlene (Ireland) Hatheway.

      Carroll was the owner/operator of Hatheway TV and Atlantic Security Equipment. He loved animals, especially dogs, and being surrounded by friends and family. Carroll enjoyed piloting airplanes, boating, motorcycles and many activities involving on/off road vehicles.

      In addition to his wife, Carroll is survived by his son, Mike Hatheway (Monica) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Andrew and Lyla Hatheway; brother, Don Hatheway (Barbara) of Fredericton; nephew, Bob Hatheway; niece Pam Hatheway; loving in-laws, including Vinal, Sharron, Kevin and Kathy; nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends.

      The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of York Care Centre for their support and care.

      Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Chapel on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 2 pm with the Rev. Dr. Garth Hatheway officiating. Interment will take place in the Dayton Cemetery, at a later date.

      In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or the Dayton Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
