Belle Brown Mapleton 85. Died 6-5-1979 at a Presque Isle nursing home after a long illness. She was born in Bath, NB., Canada 8-26-1893 the daughter of Stephen and Jane (Ruff) Kinney. She was a member of the State Road Advent Christian Church. Besides her husband, Lemuel of Mapleton, she is survived by 2 sons, Chandler Clarke of West Palm Beach, FLA., and Roger Clarke of Holyoke, MA., 5 daughters, Viva Perry of Easton, Verlie Dean of Scarborough, Alta Smith of Presque Isle, Betty Bartlett of Smyrna, Leona "Tick" Allen of Mapleton, 5 step children, Harold and Howard Brown and Audrey Christie, all of Mapleton, Richard and Roger Brown of Presque Isle, 1 brother, Robert Kinney of Bath, 1 sister, Nellie Foren of Easton, 24 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Burial Riverside Cemetery.
