    • Obituary:

At The River View Manor, Bath, surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, Winston Shirley Ruff went home to be with his Lord. Born July 22, 1940, in Killoween, NB, he was the son of the late Arlington and Mary Jane (Smith) Ruff. He was, also, predeceased by 1 son, Steven Ruff and 1 sister, Helen Brooker. Winston was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Winston is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret; 5 children, Shirley Wetmore (Tom), Deloris Drier (James), Brian Ruff (Lorelei), Clifford Ruff (Joy), Arlie Ruff (Maria) and chosen daughter, Beth Ruff; 14 grandchildren, Randy, Emily, Amy, Caroline, Andrew, Stephanie, Joshua, Ashley, Amber, Angela, Alex, Braeden, Chris and Winston; 13 great grandchildren, Madison, Baylee, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Marc, Montana, Tiberius, Liam, Kayden, Annabelle, Walker, Carly and Iona; 1 great-great grandson, Aiden; several nieces and nephews.

Winston's life was a testament of faith, family and fellowship. He was happiest in the company of his wife, children and church members; where he could freely worship and witness for The Lord. He loved to entertain, had a keen wit for great storytelling, an unforgettable smile, could fill a room with laughter and topped it all off with just a smidgen of torment.

Winston was born and raised a countryman. He loved nature and spending time outdoors four wheeling, hunting, fishing, gardening, planting flowers and trees. He was a mighty worker and a great tools man. His talents and wide range expertise earned him many hats and many titles as he was constantly sought by family and neighbours, both far and near, to repair machinery, large equipment, do lathe work, carpentry and plumbing. Winston worked on the Mactaquac Dam and sought a career at McCain Foods Florenceville, where he retired as Maintenance Supervisor. Winston's character, strength and leadership will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 1:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Brother Neil Connolly will officiate. Interment will be in the Mineral Cemetery at a later date. Donations made to Bath River View Manor or Mineral Cemetery would be appreciated. www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca (506) 392-1115
