Centreville (Carleton Co.) Feb. 22 - The last enemy of mankind to be destroyed has been busy of late. On 11th inst., he entered the home of Joseph RITCHIE of Greenfield and took from him and his wife their only child, Lulu Elizabeth RITCHIE, age 5 mos. 13 days. On Monday 13th inst., 2 p.m., she was buried by Rev. J.E. Flewelling. Her father had been unwell for some time with a bad cough and so lame with rheumatism that he could hardly walk and therefore was confined to the house. Mr. Ritchie died 18th inst. On Monday 20th, friends gathered at the house of the deceased to sympathize with the weeping widow. On 30th Sept. 1886 she was married and within one year and five months is husbandless and childless.
