  Obituary: The death of Joan Madeline Broad formerly of Beechwood occurred at River View Manor in Bath on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 84 years. Joan was born August 9, 1939 in Holmesville. She was predeceased by her parents Percy and Eileen (Doucette-Gee) Hargrove, husband, Garnet, infant son Reginald, daughter Sherry, two special grandsons: Jesse and Jeremy, and great-grandson A.J.; 3 siblings, Carl Hargrove, Fred Hargrove and Mildred Hargrove-Clark. She leaves behind seven beloved children: Thomas Broad, Richard Broad (Darlene), Sheldon Broad, Randy Broad (Heather), Julie DeMerchant (Troy), Rodney Broad (Julie), and Wendy Broad. Seventeen grandchildren: Synika, Chala, Catrina, Joni, Jamie, Daniel, Jacob, Michael, Matthew, Naomi, Justin, Tara, Ryan, Mara, Damien, Roderick, Dustin. Twenty one great-grandchildren: Maisie, Harlie, Alexis, Jarja, Brayden, Jada, Colby, Jaylyn, Tyson, Manny, Brooklyn, Alexis, Leah, Sway, Jane, Lydia, Jonah, Braxton, Leah, Landon and Leila; four brothers, Basil Hargrove (Denise), Lyle Hargrove (Sarah), Neville Hargrove, and Cecil Hargrove (Sheila); two sisters, Roma Harris (Donald) and Cynthia Hargrove-Blair (Wade). Visitation will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm.
