  Obituary: From the Nashua Telegraph- Wednesday, August 17, 1966. MERRIMACK- Garnet P. Broad, 50, died yesterday afternoon in a Manchester hospital after a long illness. He was born in Holmesville, NB, Canada, Aug 7, 1916, a son of Stephen and Delvina (Oaks) Broad. A former resident of Somerville, Mass., he moved to Merrimack 20 years ago. He worked as a truck driver for Producers Dairy. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rita M. (Briand) Broad; one son, Stephen E. Broad of Merrimack; two daughters, Mrs. Meredith M. Langille and Beverly Ann Broad, both of Merrimack; one granddaughter, Garnette N. Langille of Merrimack; two brothers, Winfield Broad of Holland, Mass. and Clarence Broad of Mount Vernon, Me.; one sister, Mrs. Marion Gee of Holmesville, NB, Canada; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at the George R. Rivet Funeral Home, Merrimack, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in the family lot in Last Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening 7 to 9 and Thursday afternoon and evening 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
