    • Obituary:
The death of Juanita Bernice Donovan of Long Settlement occurred on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at The Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Juanita was born May 18, 1947 in Millville, NB and was the daughter of the late John and Leona (Braun) Black. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Kelly Lynne Berry and her father and mother in law, Guy and Leola Donovan.
Our beautiful mom will be missed by many people. She was a kind and generous soul, always giving more than she took and forever putting others first. She was an avid knitter and passed out mittens and socks to many members of the community.
She loved to quilt - we all have at least one, beautiful one-of-a-kind quilt, painstakingly stitched with loved. She also loved to crochet and generously gifted many of us with beautiful doilies and table cloths.
Mom was an active member of the Tracy Mills Women's Institute for decades. She enjoyed her friendships made within the ladies group. Mom's furry little companion, Bo will miss her so much. She doted on him like she did to all of us, with kindness and lots of love. We love you, Mom, we'll miss you Mimi and our hearts will forever be empty without you.
Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Melvin; 5 children, Debbi Donovan (Keith), Vicki Carter (Owen), Heidi Thomas, Guy Donovan (Laura) and Grant Donovan (Nikki); son in law, Larry Berry; 9 grandchildren, Robert Berry (Ashley), Jordan Berry, Jessica Berry (Logan), Connor McFarlane (Rae), Michael Carter (Hannah), Mitchell Carter (Brooke), Claire, Liam and Griffin Donovan; 1 great grandson, Sawyer; 8 siblings, Sheila Black, Sharon Black, Nancy Black (Bill), Valerie Elkins (Brent), Susan Thomas (Mark), John Black (Odette), Terri Everett (Aden) and Edie Morehouse (Gerald) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6-8 pm.
