    • Obituary:
The death of Marie Maxine McSheffery of Bath occurred on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the River View Manor, Bath. Marie was born October 4, 1935 in Killoween and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Hathaway) Ruff. She was also predeceased by her husband, John McSheffery; 7 siblings, Arthur, Audrey, Evelyn, Donald, Alton, Ronald and Myrtle.
Marie is survived by her 3 children, Randy Ruff, Judy Hennessey (Mark Doody), and Kelley McSheffery (Toby Holden); 5 grandchildren, Gregory Ruff (Martha Foster), Jared Ruff, Jenna Robbins (Adam), Allison Glass and Colin Glass; 1 great granddaughter, Bria Marie Ruff; 1 sister, Brenda Foster as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Marie was incredibly kind and welcoming to everyone who came through her door. There was always a cup of tea and a plate of homemade goodies to be had. She loved her children dearly and made many sacrifices for them. Her grandchildren made her life complete and she loved spending time with them. She was an excellent cook and baker as anyone who has ever had her food can attest to; especially her homemade bread, donuts, potato salad and graham cracker pie. Marie was incredibly faithful and devoted to her church and the CWL (Catholic Women's League). She was a fighter as she proved right up to the end.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11 am from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bath. Fr. Anthony Ekpe as celebrant. The interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery. For those who wish donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Martin Kilfoil Fund or Canadian Mental Health would be appreciated.
