  Obituary: The death of Leota Carmen Butterfield occurred on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born December 3, 1920 in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Melissa (VanDine) Giggie. She was also predeceased by her husband, Russell; 2 sons, Warren and Roy as well as several brothers and sisters. Leota is survived by 3 children, Dean Butterfield (Charlene), Dwight Butterfield (Linda), Marsha Denny (Mike); 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, Vaughn Giggie as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors,207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11:00 am from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Carl DeMerchant will officiate. Interment will be in the Mineral Cemetery.
