- Obituary:
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. Matthew 25:21
Allan Edgar Giberson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Allan was born June 29, 1946 in Bath and was the son of the late Leighton & Inez Giberson.
Allan is survived by his wife of more then 47 years, Dianna (Davis); daughters Beth (Jeff) Hooper, Sherri (Mike) Clark; grandsons Joshua and Matthew Ketch; sister Dorothy (Dave) Bishop, niece Kathy (Don) Guzik; Brother-in-Law Jerry (Violet) Davis; Sister-in-Law Judy Perley; as well as several nephew, nieces and extended family.
Allan married the love of his life on July 6, 1974 in Hartland, NB. Together they enjoyed watching their daughters grow up and get married and was so excited when his grandsons came along. He loved playing games, singing and spending lots of time with his family playing tennis and watching the tennis tournaments on tv.
Allan spent his life serving God and wanting everyone to know about God & Heaven. He was a gentle soul who loved his family. He was steadfast as a husband, father and servant of God, quiet but a great listener to anyone who needed to share their burdens. He worked for McCain Foods for 40 years as an accountant and courier until his retirement. He enjoyed retirement, spending time at church doing bulletins and making the Sunday morning announcements, and singing with Pastor Oral and Mike.
If there was one thing he could tell you now, it would be to give your heart to Jesus, be ready because he wants to see everyone on the other side!
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Bristol Freewill Baptist Church 20 Tapley Road, Bristol. The Rev. Oral McAffee will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bristol Freewill Baptist Cemetery. Donations made to the Bristol Freewill Baptist cemetery would be appreciated.
