- Obituary:
The death of Clarence Daniel Pickard occurred on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his home in Holmesville surrounded by his loving family. Clarence was born March 27, 1937 in Piercemont and was the son of the late John and Helen (Griffin) Pickard. He was also predeceased by his daughter in law, Joanne; grandson, Andrew; 7 siblings, James, Gerald, Rita, Theodore, Raymond, John Jr. and Greg.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Theresa; 6 children, Danny Pickard (Donna), Andy Pickard (Lanie), Rita Stockford (Richard), Chris Pickard, Terry Pickard (Cathy) and Clarence David Pickard (Lorraine); 13 grandchildren, Lindsey, Danielle, Kelly, Kim, Emma, Melissa, Emily, Jared, Ivan, Adam, Kevin, Jessie and Sabrina; 6 step grandchildren, Dennis, Cody, Richard, Rachel, Elizabeth, James, Amy, Alice and Milton; 15 great grandchildren, Logan, Lila, Olive, Ivy, Levi, Peyton, Ava, Lucus, Carson, Baron, Daxon, Alex, Charlotte, Hunter and Owen, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Clarence was a proud husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who never missed a sporting event, concert or graduation. The only thing that brought Clarence as much joy as his family was his farm, which he worked for 65 years. Grampy loved to survey his land on his Case Scout with his faithful dog, Frisky. Clarence was also extremely proud to have been a fireman/engineer for CP Rail for 35 years.
Clarence was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 5-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 10 am from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville, NB. Fr. Anthony Ekpe as celebrant. The interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery. For those who wish donations made to St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville Cemetery or to the charity of the donor's choice.
