    • Obituary:

      It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Ann Ellen Armour of Hartley Settlement announce her death on November 9, 2011 at her home. Born on July 6, 1943 in Creston, BC, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ellen (Reed) Haines and wife to Milford Armour.

      Mary Ann is survived by husband, Milford; 7 children, Ronald Haines (Natalie), Ellen Armour, Monica Armour, Virginia Van Horne, George Armour, Greg Armour (Darcy) and Debbie Beckwith (honorary daughter); 5 grandchildren, Joel Haines, Brody Lyon, Colton, Gabriel and EmmaRose Van Horne; Siblings, Beverly Haines, Barbara Swim, Rebecca Haines, Daniel Delano and Karen Arton and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was predeceased by her mother and father, her beloved cousins,
      Charlotte Soloway and Richard Haines, various other family members, and special friends.

      "Auntie Mare" was well known for being a mother/auntie to her beloved Dale Soloway (her three boys ,Tim, Evan and Corey boy) also to Robyn and Bobby and their children, Sarena, Stephen, Luke, and Micah. Then came the next generation of nieces and nephews arrived Jessica (grand nephew, Jackson) and Darcy Pack, and Tyler How (grand nephew, Johnathan). Auntie Mare extended her love and strength to many generations and is loved by all who knew her.

      The door was always open to everyone in the neighbourhood and beyond. She loved her animals (horses, dogs, humming birds, etc.), country music, playing cards, NASCAR racing, and being a Royal Canadian Legion member. Her booming laugh and cheerful voice let everyone know that she was around. Many stories will be shared for years to come.

      She will be missed by her family and many special friends, including Josie DiMonte and Linda Wood.

      Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol, on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 4:00 … 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Tracey Mills United Baptist Church in Tracey Mills on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Steven Teed officiating. Interment will be in the Tracey Mills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be "Mom's Boys" … Greg Armour, Bobby Glenn, Bruce Myles, Jason Little, as well as Joel Haines, Tyler How, and
      Rodney Chase.

      By Mary Ann's request, donations made to the Tracey Mills United Baptist Church or a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
