    • Obituary:

      The death of Philip David Swim, of Johnville, occurred on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Born July 27, 1919 in Stickney he was the son of the late Colby and Zelma (Curtis) Swim and husband of the late Mildred Swim.

      Philip is survived by his 4 children, Wayne Swim, Linda Crain (Tom), Susan Inman (Dale) and Peter Swim (Tami); 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Earl Swim (Florence), Meryl Swim (Barbara), Marjorie Hitchcock and Elsie Smith and many nieces and nephews.

      He was predeceased by his parents, wife Mildred, 4 children, Sharon Elaine, Judith Ann, Paul Nicholas and Cheryl Irene, 1 grandson, Ian Dale, 1 great grandchild, Allison, siblings, Reuben, Beulah, Mary, Elva, James, Hazel, Ruthie (Infant) and Walter (Infant).

      Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in the Mineral Cemetery.

      Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 37 will hold a service Monday evening at 6:45 pm.

      Donations made to Bannon Children’s Camp or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated.
