  Obituary: The death of Walter Thomas Boyd “Sam” of Johnville occurred on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Born July 18, 1927 in Johnville he was the son of the late Cloud and Gertrude (Pickard) Boyd. He was also predeceased by 1 brother, Basil. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty, 8 children, Sean Boyd (Mary), Cathy Boyd-Brennan (Matt), Jean Nisbet (John), Martin Boyd (Joyce), Peter Boyd (Lisa), Denise Kilfoil (Stephen), Douglas Boyd (Sandy) and Kelly McCullough (Dave); 22 grandchildren, Colin (Susan), Alex, Haley, Luke, Ryan, Beth, Tara, Connor, Michael, Emily, David, Jordan, Janelle, Sarah, Caroline, Rachel, Nathan, Jeremy, Chase, Delaney, Nicholas and Jackson; 7 siblings, Helen Barry, Maddie Logue, Barbara Krochenski (Walter), Billy Benson (Joe), Arnold Boyd (Cecila), Denise Vanderklay (Karel), Pauline Lavery (Al); 1 sister in law, Teresa Boyd, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church, Johnville on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 am from the church. Fr. David Fulton as celebrant. Interment will be in the Johnville Cemetery. Donations made to St. John the Evangelist Church or the Martin Kilfoil Fund would be appreciated. L.R.
