Freda F. Salmon
1923-2010
The death of Freda Florence Salmon, of Holmesville, occurred Monday, July 12, 2010 at her residence. Born July 6, 1923 in Beechwood, she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Caroline (Broad) Kearney and wife of the late Donald Salmon.
Freda is survived by her 5 children; Michael (Linda), Arnold (Lynda), Laurie Crain (Trent), Wesley (Sharon), and Ernest (Rhonda); 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 8 sisters-in-law, Leola, Anita, and Eleanor Kearney, Shirley Clark, Barb Lloyd, Joanne, Una and Luanna Salmon; special caregiver, Theresa Foster; several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her family.
Freda was predeceased by her parents; husband Donald; 5 brothers Earl, Holland, Jim, Edward and Frank; and 1 sister Bernadine “Neen“.
Visitation will be held from the Beechwood United Baptist Church in Beechwood on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm from the Beechwood United Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Barron officiating. Interment will be in the Wharton cemetery.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Beechwood United Baptist Church Building Fund, or the Shiktehawk Bible Camp.
