Notes - OBITUARY:
Lois Ruth Markey 1936-2010: It is with regret that we announce the passing of Lois Ruth (Wallace) Markey of Woodstock, NB, by accident, on October 29, 2010. She was born on February 20, 1936 to the late Charles and Cora (Rideout) Wallace. Lois is survived by; daughters, Patti Markey - Bubar (Jason)of Grafton NB, Karen MacLeod (Greg)of Dartmouth NS, Janice Dery (Dean) of Montreal; a son Michael of Cape Breton; her grandchildren, Lauren, Meaghan, Andrew, Melissa, Rebecca, Collin, Virginia, Tyler and Nicole; a sister, Alta Saunders(Bob)Centreville NB; a sister-in-law Joyce Wallace; two brothers-in-law, Henry Markey(Louise) Montreal, Richard Markey (Lynda)of Woodstock; Aunt Fern Rideout of Woodstock, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by; her parents, husband Joseph, son Eric, and her brother Lester. Visitation will be held from Carleton Funeral Home on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 2 at 11:00 am with Father John Keoughan as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Suggested memorial donations to the River Valley Cancer Support Group, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
