    • Obituary:

Glenna Madeline Dyer Gauvin, 86, of Hartland NB passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home. Glenna was born in Bath NB on May 17, 1932 daughter of the late Arnold and Lois Dyer.

Glenna is survived by her daughter, Karen Burke, sons, Peter Underhill (Laura), Broderick Underhill (Donna), daughter in law Karen Brewer Underhill, thirteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, sister, Mary Oliver, half-sisters, Carolyn, Margie, Roberta, half-brother, Johnny, special longtime friend Faye and a new friend Vivian.

Besides her parents, Glenna was predeceased by her husbands, Merrill Underhill, Raymond Seeley, Antonio Gauvin, son, Steven Underhill, grandson, Jonah Underhill, brothers, Weldon, Sherman, Randall, Arthur Dyer, son in law, Raymond Burke.

On February 25, 2019 our mom and nana very peacefully went home to be with her savior. At the very young age of three mom lost her own mother. At three she was taken from very one she knew, never to be reunited until adult years. One can only imagine the trauma she endured well into adult years she battled with a very unhappy childhood home that she grew up in. Mom did the best to overcome all of this. One would like to think she is now feeling the true love of her own Mom.

Nana was a hoot she loved a good time, to dance, to sing, loved to cook and put a meal on the table for all and you had to have seconds. Mom loved her family and loved the Lord.

The last few years have been a struggle, but mom is free of pain and the struggles of dementia. As I sat by mom’s bed I kept telling her it is ok. It is ok which she repeated softly to me. It’s Ok. Mom it is Ok. Now rest. We did it and as your favorite song say. I’LL be loving you Always

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2 PM to 5 PM. No funeral as per Glenna’s wishes. Interment will be held at a later date.

No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Carleton Nursing Home or to the Alzheimer’s Society
