Gerald Edwin Kenney, 84, of Woodstock, NB and formally from Glassville, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Carleton Manor Nursing Home Woodstock, NB. Gerald was born in Knowlesville, NB on March 22, 1927, son of the late Everett and Ethel (Branscombe) Kenney.
Gerald is survived by four children; Winnifred Hemphill, Mapleton, ME, Sheila Pye (Dale), Argyle, NB, Natalie Manuel (Stewart), St. Leonard, NB, Gerri Burtt (Robert), Centreville, NB, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother; Fred (Iola) Upper Brighton, NB, sister, Shirley Biggar, Hartland, NB, brothers in law; Ralph Arnand (Gail), Bristol, NB, Henry Arnand (Eleanor), Florenceville, NB, sisters in law Faye Kenney, Mount Pleasant, NB, Lily Arnand, Meductic, NB, Elsie Briggs, Woodstock, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased his wife; Mildred (Arnand) Kenney, brothers; Maynard, Norval, Ronald, sister, Willa, infant sister, Queenie and a sister in law Pat.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Monday, February 27, from 6 to 9. Funeral service will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 28 at 1 PM with Pastor Murray Whitehouse officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery Esdraelon, NB at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Forest Hill Cemetery.
