  Obituary: Alton Avery of East Coldstream passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, Alton was born January 20, 1949 and was the son of the late Alton and Mary (Clark) Avery. Alton is survived by his wife Valerie Avery of East Coldstream; children, Craig (Cynthia) Avery of Woodstock, Melissa (Murray McLaughlin) Avery of Newburg; grandchildren, Kathryn Avery, Sebastian Avery, Julieanne Avery; sisters, Yvonne (Ercell) Sarchfield of Wakefield, Sharon Wright of Howard Brook, Coleen Avery of Knowlesville; mother-in-law, Charlotte Cragg of Keswick, Ontario. Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland on Friday the 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday the 10th at 11:00 a.m. from the Mount Pleasant United Baptist Church with Pastor Peter Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Esdraleon.
