  Obituary: Orpha Ruth McHatten of Woodstock, NB passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on May 18, 2016. Born in Simonds Parish, Carleton Country on July 1, 1928. Daughter of the late William and Mildred (Shaw) Brooks. Survived by her children, Wendy Smith (Mike) of Woodstock, NB; Shawna Jacques (Gary) of Lindsay, NB; William McHatten (Shelley) of Jacksontown, NB; Robert McHatten of Jacksonville, NB. Grandchildren, Rachel Jacques (Brendan), Alissa Jacques (Kevin), Kristin Jacques (Graham), Tyler McHatten (Gina), Tyson McHatten. Great Grandchildren, Jacob McHatten, Parker McHatten, Charleigh Ptolemy. Brother, Paul Brooks (Shirley); Sister-in-law, Hazel Brooks. Nieces and Nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband Charles McHatten (1989), sister, Edna Rideout and her husband Weldon; Brother, Peter Brooks and Harold and his wife Phyllis. Resting at The Culberson Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral to be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm from Culberson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wendy MacWilliams officiating. Interment to follow in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
