SIMPSON, Grayson William - 82, Bedford, died December 22, 2002, in Halifax. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late Earle and Hilda (Merrithew) Simpson. He lived for many years in Moncton and parts of Carlton County, N.B. then moved to Dartmouth and finally resided in Bedford for the last 20 years. He was very active in the United Commercial Traveler's. Surviving are his long-time companion, Claire Patterson; daughters, Ione, Eastern Passage; granddaughters, Danielle and Nicolle, Eastern Passage; grandson, Aron, Vancouver; special nieces, Heather Coombs and Ann Buchanan. He was predeceased by his wife, Elva (Sweet); daughter, Dianne Shute; sister, Maxine Matheson. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 28, in Bedford United Church, Bedford, Rev. David Hart officiating. Interment in Brookside Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to the staff of the Neuro Surgery, ICU, the New Halifax Infirmary and the Cobequid Multi-Service Centre. Arrangements entrusted to T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, 1216 Bedford Hwy., Bedford.
