    • Obituary:
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Geary Vaughn Davenport on May 10, 2022 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Born on July 9, 1947 in Glassville, NB to the late Vaughn and Audrey Davenport, he was the oldest boy in a family of nine children and was predeceased by his brother Ray.
He is survived by his wife Judy of 54 years, five children, Chris Stewart (Ann), Denise Davenport, Karen Davenport (Alden), Melissa Davenport, Jonathan Davenport (Mindy), and five grandchildren, Jerrica, Alex, Jacob, Jack, and Clark.
Our father was dedicated to his family who he loved and cared for dearly, never missing an opportunity to spend time together. Dad loved our mother with all his heart and in his final days he listed off several things he wanted done, all focused on protecting and providing for her.
Dad showed his love in many ways, but his main focus was providing for his family with hard work and determination. Never one to complain he was always working away on multiple projects, gardening, building or fabricating something to help his family. He was a man who could build or fix anything.
In 2010, he retired following 30 years at the Irving Tree Nursery in Juniper and shortly after he began battling Mantel Cell Lymphoma. He will be remembered for his unwavering ability to be positive and determined to fight for 12 more years with his cherished grandchildren.

Throughout retirement he continued as an active member of the Glassville Fire Department and enjoyed the friendships made while supporting his community. In keeping with his wishes, Dad will be buried in his work clothes.

Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2022 from the L.R Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. David Arbeau officiating. Masks are required by request of the family. Interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery following the funeral. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Upper Kent United Pentecostal Church.
