Glassville - On the forenoon of Sunday 6th, our village cemetery was once more
the scene of a large funeral - the interment of the late Alexander CURRIE of
Knowlesville (Carleton Co.) who quietly passed to his rest the previous Friday,
age 62 years. His dying bed was surrounded by members of his family, and others,
he having resided on the old homestead for the last 25 years - a farmer of no
mean reputation, hard working and industrious, prompt in all his business
arrangements and a friendly and obliging neighbor. He was originally of Scottish
descent, but came to New Brunswick many years ago from Canada. After interment
with service at the grave by Rev. J.K. Bearisto, the company assembled in the
church to listen to the minister of Aberdeen.
