      Phyllis McIntosh
      1930-2017

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phyllis McIntosh announces her passing on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, in Fredericton, NB.

Born in Minto, NB, on May 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Rogers) Hawkes and the wife of the late Claude McIntosh.

Phyllis is survived by her special family, son, Roland McIntosh (Peggy), NB; grandchildren, Scott McIntosh (Melissa) and Jeremy McIntosh (Krista); great grandchildren, Brayden, Keyra and Owen; 1 sister-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Phyllis was predeceased by her brother Orvile Hawkes and sister Evelyn Thorton.

A long-time member of the Capital Community Church, she enjoyed helping anyway she could. It was a great part of her life. She worked at the cotton mill early in her life, then got into all kinds of crafts, doing and attending many craft sales. Phyllis and her husband Claude enjoyed many summer times with their friends in their travel trailers.

Phyllis’s family would like to extend a warm thank you to her church family and neighbours for their kindness during the past few months.

Visitation will be held at the Capital Community Church (71 Downing Street, Fredericton, NB) on Friday, March 24, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in the Full Gospel Cemetery in Minto, New Brunswick, at a later date. Donations in Phyllis’ memory can be made to Hospice Fredericton or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
