  Obituary: The family of Erma Edna Giberson is heart broken to announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law in the wee hours of February 26, 2014 at the Carleton Manor in Woodstock, NB. Erma was born in Upper Kent, NB on May 20, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Owen and Bessie (Kearney) Smith. Erma was the wife of the late David D.J. Giberson (1996). She leaves behind her son David R. Giberson and his wife Ruth of Woodstock; grandsons David E.J. Giberson (Tammy Ruff) of Bristol and Matthew A.R. Giberson (April DeMerchant) of Woodstock. Erma was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her sisters Nellie Norell and Verna Burns; her brother Raymond Smith.Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday at 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2 pm from St. James United Church in Perth-Andover. Rev. Steve Longmoore officiating. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery at a later date. An Eastern Star service will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening. For those who wish, memorial donations to St. James United Church Building Fund or to the NB Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the Carleton Manor staff for the love and care shown to Erma while she was a resident for the last 4+ years. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
