    • Obituary:

      WESTFIELD - Reta M. Kinney, 89, passed away Monday evening Feb. 9, 2015, at Borderview Rehab and Nursing Home in Van Buren. She was born in Westfield on July 14, 1925, the daughter of Wesley and Gladys (Gregory) Lockhart.

      She worked at Indian Head Plywood in Presque Isle and helped in the potato harvest for many years. She loved to crotchet and knit, and was an avid hunter with her husband Arthur. Reta was a very generous person and had a great wit. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Borderview especially Cindy and Shane for all the great care they gave Reta.

      She is survived by a son, Jim Kinney and his wife, Bonnie of Westfield; a daughter, Betty Spooner of Presque Isle; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Kinney of Presque Isle; a half-brother, Terry Taylor of Florida; 5 grandchildren, Dick, Steven, Derrick, Kevin and Kellie; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 2001; an infant son, Richard, and a son, Steven Kinney, in Jan. 2014.

      Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Mark Curtis officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service at the funeral home. Spring interment will be at Marshall Cemetery, Westfield.
