    • Obituary:

      Velma Grace MacDonald Michaud of Hartland passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born December 4, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Loreson and Beulah Shaw. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two husbands, Douglas MacDonald and Claude Michaud; an infant daughter, Gaynell; son, Murray MacDonald; siblings, Angus (Rosalie) Shaw, Otis Shaw, Lorne (Vada) Shaw, Elery Shaw, Claude (Marjorie) Shaw, Paul (Maxine) Shaw, Clayton Shaw, Elva (Garfield) Brown; sister-in-law, Myrna Shaw.

      Velma is survived by her children, Paul (Dalta) MacDonald of Lower Brighton, Bonnie (Brian) Quick of Upper Brighton, Fordy (Linda) MacDonald of Upper Brighton, Kelly (Kevin) Cox of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Lori MacDonald of Houlton; grandchildren, Troy (Sheri) MacDonald, Travis (Edith) MacDonald, Tammy (Ron) Whitlock, Holly (Rob) Simpson, Kimberly (Travis) Pirie, Andrea (Dave) Davenport, Amanda (Jason) Winchcombe, Amy (Ryan) Tompkins, Brandon (Robyn) Cox, Zachary Cox, Cody Cox; great grandchildren, Jordan, Brooke, Tyler, Marissa, Damian, Sandy, Claire, Thomas, Noah, Addyson, Lily, Bryson, Charlotte, Cameron, Carolyn, Nolan, Elijah, Nora; great great grandchildren, Nicholai, Amelia; brothers, Jerry (Gloria) Shaw, Floyd Shaw; sisters-in-law, Joyce Shaw, Darlene Shaw; nieces and nephews.

      Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland on Thursday, May 24th from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Friday at 4:00 p.m. from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel in Hartland with Rev. David Ferrell officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Windsor Cemetery. If so desired donations can be made to the Lower Windsor Cemetery. www.brittonfh.ca
