- Obituary:
The death of Ernest Allan Cheney of Gordonsville occurred on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born July 8, 1963 in Bath he was the son of the late Paul and Erma (McBrine) Cheney. He was also predeceased by his grandson, Jacob and 1 brother, Brian Cheney.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Alice; 2 children, Mitchell Cheney (Fiona) and Pamela Cheney; 4 grandchildren, Seth, Lilly, Phoenix and Calliope; 5 siblings, Robert Cheney (Marsha), Sheldon Cheney (Sandy), Warren Cheney (Sandy), Nancy Bloodsworth (Elihu) and Wanda Lunn (Stephen) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 5-8 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Gordonsville Community Cemetery. Pastor Carl O'Donnell will officiate.
