    • Born in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada in 1920. John served in WW2 in the Carleton York regiment for the Canadian armed forces where he fought in Sicily, Italy, Holland and Germany. He was wounded in December of 1943 in Ortona, Italy. His one brother George Victor Stitham was killed in WW2 in 1945. He also had a sister, Grace who passed away in 1993.
