- Obituary:
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allison Glenn Stoddard on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Riverview Manor in Bath, N.B.
Allison was born on August 9, 1932, to the late Kenneth and Glenna Stoddard of Foreston, NB.
He is survived by his wife Gertrude Avis (White), son Kenneth (Willa), Daughters Heather (Don) and Holly (Keith), 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well as 2 sisters, Jenny Lee and Dianne Kearney. Allison was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Glenna Stoddard, brothers Ronald, Claire, Robert, Dean and Lewis as well as sister Florence.
Allison was always working. He loved cutting firewood and split many cords of wood every year. Allison loved hunting and fishing. He gathered fir tips each fall. The woods were his favourite place to be. Allison had three great loves... his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his wife Avis and his children and grandchildren. He was a true Christian and gentleman who was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12th from 5-8 PM at the Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 13th from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Interment will be at the Bigger Ridge Cemetery, Bigger Ridge, NB. If so desired donations can be made to River Valley Cancer Support Group or the Bannon Bible Camp.
