  Obituary: It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Marie Paterson of Knoxford which occurred suddenly on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Hotel dieu Hospital, Perth Andover. Born September 12, 1958 in Bath she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Phyllis (Swim) DeMerchant. Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Allison; 5 children, Christopher Paterson (Chantal), Jennifer Crain (Joe), Helen Paterson (Andrew McDougall), Jessica MacLeod (Jerry) and AJ Paterson (Stephanie); 13 grandchildren, Noelle, Autumn, Isaiah, Tatum, Cohen, Gabe, Jacob, Avery, Parker, Sophia, Sadie, Elise and Alexander; 7 siblings, Debbie O'Neill (Roy Paquette), Tom DeMerchant (Cindy), Mike DeMerchant (Patricia), Tim DeMerchant, Pam Grant (Robert), Richard DeMerchant (Danielle) and Allison DeMerchant (Tracey) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Paul Smith will officiate. The interment will be in the Melville United Cemetery.
