Notes - Obituary: It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leslie Eldon McIntosh of Bath which occurred on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born February 16, 1932 in Wicklow, he was the son of the late Eldon and Marion (White) McIntosh. He was also predeceased by 1 daughter, Linda Gaunce; grandson, Jacob; 2 brothers, Allen and Ronald. Les is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kay (nee Sprague), 3 children; Karen Brown (Stuart), Janice McIntosh and Michael McIntosh (Billie Jo); 6 grandchildren, Michelle, Zachary, Kennedy, Terry, Ryan and Sawyer; 1 great grand daughter, Breanna; son in law, Allen Gaunce; 5 siblings, Winston McIntosh (Sheila), Robert McIntosh (Phyllis), Henry McIntosh (Ellen), Fred McIntosh (Jo Anne), Joyce McIntosh and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Les was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening and he was a great lover of animals.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Oral McAffee officiating. Interment will be in the Burntland Brook Cemetery.
