      Clarence John McIntosh
      1919-2012

      The death of Clarence J. McIntosh of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Born in Glassville, NB he was the son of the late Wesley and Margaret McIntosh and husband of Jessie (Kerr) McIntosh.

      Clarence was a proud farmer for over 50 years and also served his country in WWII. He was a longtime member of the Glassville United Church, serving as the Sunday School Superintendent and an Elder of the church. In recent years, he was a member of Wilmot United Church, the Wilmot Book Club and Stepping Stones.

      Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Allan and Edward and sisters, Agnes and Jean.

      He will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Jessie; his children, Keith (Joyce MacEacheron) and Shiona McIntosh (Steve Christie) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Kaleigh, Will and Catriona McIntosh and Breagh, Meaghan and Mairi Christie as well as his sisters, Edna Cunningham (Carl) of Dartmouth, NS and Edith Park (Larry) of Presque Isle, Maine, USA and a large extended family of nieces and nephews and their children.

      A memorial service will be held at Wilmot United Church on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin will officiate. Interment will take place in Glassville United Church Cemetery on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 2:30 pm. Memorial tributes in Clarence’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to McAdam’s Funeral Home (458-9170) and online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
