- PRESQUE ISLE - Margaret A. (White) Adams, 94, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. Margaret was born in Wakefield, New Brunswick on January 22, 1926, the daughter of Alexander and Maude (Hovey) White.
Margaret and Leland met, married in April 1944 and raised their family while farming in the Presque Isle/Easton area. She will be especially remembered for her love of family, her generosity and warm hospitality; including her yearly garage sales, doughnut making, quilting, knitting, rug braiding, gardening and pickling.
Margaret is survived by her sons Dellas Adams and wife Carol of Presque Isle; Darrell Adams and wife Lorette of Mars Hill; and Gerald Adams of Presque Isle; two grandchildren, Kelly Ayotte and Kimberly Saucier; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leland Adams and two sisters; Mary Haley and Ethel Shaw and five brothers; Hants, Allen, Bob, Clarence and Albert White. A special thank you to Glenna Tompkins and Rita Worley for their loving care of Margaret.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11am on Thursday, July 30, at Mount Shiloh Cemetery in Easton. Anyone wishing to drive by before the service to pay their respects, may drive through the cemetery and stay in their car to express their condolences to the family.
