      SEARSPORT - NEW GLOUCESTER - William H. Lovely, 54, died at a Bangor, Maine hospital March 29, 1954, following a short illness. Mr. Lovely was born in Glassville, N.B. Jan. 10, 1900 the son of James and Etta (Bell) Lovely. He was a resident of Searsport and formerly of New Gloucester, Maine. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, the Knights of Pythias of Gray and the American Vets of New Gloucester. He served in the Army in World War II. Besides his wife Caroline (Palmer) Lovely of Searsport, he is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. James Lovely of Glassville, N.B.; by a sister Mrs. Everett Bishop of Presque Isle; two brothers Norris of East Corinth, Me. and Arlie of Glassville, N.B. Funeral services were held at the White and Hay's Funeral Home, Bangor on April 1. He was taken to New Gloucester where another service was hold in charge of the Amvet Post of which he was a charter member. Floral tributes were many and beautiful from neighbors and friends. Interment was in the family lot in New Gloucester.
