    • LOVELY, JAMES
      Glassville--Funeral services for James Lovely, who died July 20, 1956 at age 86, were held at the United Church of Canada, Glassville with Rev. D.E. Adams officiating. Mr. Lovely was born Feb. 24, 1870, youngest of seven children of the late Benjamin and Esther Neal Lovely and had lived his entire life in the house in which he was born. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Mr. Lovely was married October 12, 1892 to Etta Bell, daughter of the late Mr.& Mrs. James Bell, who survives him. They had six children, three of whom survive. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Everett Bishop(Jennie), Presque Isle, Maine; two sons, Norris of East Corinth, Maine; and Arleigh at home, twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were three nephews, Robert Lovely, Raymond and Lawrence Sweet, Jack Allen Charles Quinn and Vaughn Lyon. Those attending from a distance were Mr.& Mrs. Norris Lovely, East Corinth, Maine; Mr.& Mrs. Floyd Bishop, Mapleton, Maine; Mr.& Mrs. Dana Bishop, Neil Bishop, Mr.& Mrs. Orlin Bishop ;and daughter Leila and son Gordon, Mr.& Mrs. William Bishop, Mrs. Ernest Montgomery, all of Presque Isle, Maine and Mrs., Kate Haley of Caribou, Maine. Fred Kilcollins was funeral director and interment was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Glassville.
