  Obituary: The death of Nora Winnifred Lyon occurred on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born August 24, 1915 in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Robinson) Spence and wife of the late Donald William Lyon. Nora was an avid reader, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing her piano and tending the vegetables in her garden. Nora is survived by her 6 children, Gaynell Shaw (Richard) of Grand Falls, NB, Joyce Green (Don) of Florenceville, NB, Keith Lyon (Glenna) of Quispamsis, NB, Corinne Burton (Dave Wilford), Ronald Lyon (Carol) and Kathryn Vouk (Peter) all of Oakville, ON; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Donald and 1 brother, Paul Spence. Visitation will be held from Faith Memorial United Church on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 at 2:30 pm from the church. Rev. Elaine Strawbridge will officiate. Interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery.
