Notes - Obituary:
The death of Roderick Bearirsto Laing “Rod” of Glassville occurred on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born in Glassville on March 7, 1927 he was the son of the late Gordon and Agnes (Simpson) Laing. Rod was also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; 1 son , Keith; 6 siblings, Doug, Gordon, Jack, Alice, Maude and Frank.
Rod is survived by his 4 sons, Allan (Sharon), Dale (Pam), John (Joyce) and Francis (Krista); 10 grandchildren, Tina, Heather, Greg, Jason, Anthony, Angel, Bianca, Kelsey, Jared and Jordon; 13 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Norma Tompkins, Barb Tompkins and Jennie Giberson.
Respecting Rod’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the NB Lung Association or to the Glassville United Cemetery would be appreciated.
