  Obituary: The death of Frank Windsor Laing of Gordonsville occurred on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth-Andover. Born September 23, 1918 in Glassville, he was the son of the late Gordon and Agnes (Simpson) Laing and husband of the late Hermine "Mien" (Vanfulpen) Laing. Frank is survived by his son, Peter Tompkins (Virgina); 3 grandchildren, Natalie Tompkins (Nick Olmstead), Eric Tompkins and Nick Tompkins; 1 great grandson, Jaxson Olmstead; siblings, Rod Laing, Norma Tompkins, Barb Tompkins and Jennie Giberson and many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his parents; wife Mien; and siblings, Doug, Gordon, Jack, Alice and Maude. Visitation will be held at L. R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd., Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, November 25, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the L. R. Giberson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Glassville United Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
