| 1337 | Obituary: MILHERON, Wildred Alexander "Wilf" 1957-2021 It is with a broken heart that we announce that Wilf Milheron, 63, passed away on January 11, 2021 with the love of his life Beth, by his side. With a passion for anything automotive, he has left behind a laneway full of vehicles, a garage full of parts and a racing collection that could fill the basement. He is survived by his 2 sisters Vicki (Ron) and Valerie, along with his niece Candise, nephew Ronald and 2 great-nieces. Wilf will be missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles along with a group of amazing friends and coworkers. Wilf loved his job at Corey's. Even though he could retire in less than 2 years that was never part of his plan. Whether it was finding that rare car part for someone, putting another set of breaks on Beth's car or helping a neighbour fix the knock in the engine, working on vehicles was second nature to him. The garage was a gathering place with the TV locked to the sports channels and a cold beer in the fridge for anyone that stopped by. Wilf had an endless supply of jokes, which can't be printed here and he always kept one in his pocket to pass around. He had an immense love for all animals but especially his dogs. Their pictures and fur will always be on the toolbox. Although he wasn't in the dog house, he has been known to sleep in it. He is now with his buddy Dan and you know they are together, having a Canadian and figuring out how to get that race car just a little faster. So David and Geoff, let's keep that motor running. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animalert, War Amps or a charity of your choice. In keeping with Wilf's request a celebration of his life will be held in the garage when we can all get together. https://lfpress.remembering.ca/obituary/wilf-milheron-1081438861 | MILHERON, Wilfred Alexander (I21265)

| 1341 | Obituary: Mona Lucille LaVigne 1931-2024 Mona Lucille (Shannon) LaVigne of Vernon, Connecticut at the age of 92 passed away after a life well lived surrounded by friends and family on April 24, 2024. She was born November 4, 1931, in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of the late John William and Carmen Lita (White) Shannon. On May 7th, 1951, she married Ralph Edward LaVigne. They were married for 66 years before his passing in 2017. Throughout her life she lived in many places including Canada, Maine, Connecticut, Texas, and lastly Galena, Missouri. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Martin Peter, a son-in-law, Marian Narkawicz, and her siblings Phyllis Viel, Vera Shannon, John Shannon, Barbara Patterson, Shirley Ellis, and Pearl Paterson. She leaves behind her children, Valerie (Peter) Berger of Galena, Missouri, Brenda Narkawicz of Coventry, Connecticut, Kevin (Jane) LaVigne of Happy Valley, Oregon and Cameron (Michele) LaVigne of Fischer, Texas. Mona, lovingly called Mimi, doted upon her grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) Iacobucci, Laura (Enrique) Lima, Rachel (Andrew) Hartman, Jennifer (Andrew) Wilhelmsen, Jessica (Elinor) Howell, Aaron LaVigne, Shannon (Thomas) LaVigne Hill, Cameron (Jacqueline) LaVigne II, PJ Berger, and Daniel Berger. She would light up whenever she was in their presence. Her legacy also includes ten great grandchildren. Mona is also survived by her sister Willa Rickard of Hartland, New Brunswick, multiple nieces and nephews, and Juanita Berger, a dear friend. Mona was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Vernon, CT, for many years. She was famous for her holiday pies and knitting. She also loved traveling and cherished a trip to England with her husband for their 50th wedding anniversary. Each year she especially looked forward to her ritual trips back home to Canada to visit her siblings and family in Hartland. A devoted wife and homemaker, Mona held many jobs throughout her life, but she valued being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother above all else. She was tenacious in her goals for her family and the guiding hand that forged their path, leading by example with love and kindness. She adored her family, and they in turn adored her and brought her much joy. Small in stature but strong in spirit, she remained a haven for her children and grandchildren as they moved across the country and globe. Whether you called her Mona, Mom, or Mimi wherever she was, she made you feel at home. Her passing is a great loss to her family who deeply feel the absence of her love, laughter and smile. It is a true testament of her life and legacy that we all feel her passing at the age of 92 was simply too soon but take comfort that she is reunited with her husband and loved ones in Heaven. Committal and burial service will be held on October 6th, 2024, at 3:00, at Saint Bonaventure’s Catholic Church Cemetery, 1941 Route 560, Lakeville, NB, Canada. https://www.brittonfh.ca/obituaries/179398 | SHANNON, Mona Lucille (I20447)

Somewhere on the farm, amid the arrival of yet another brother or sister her dreams of normal school were not to become a reality. | 1353 | Obituary: Nancy Hanson 1969-2024 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Nancy Hanson, our angel. She was surrounded by her family when she went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Nancy loved God, her Bible, her family, and her Blue Jay's. Nancy was born October 11, 1969, in Grand Falls, NB and was the daughter of Mary (Baker) Hanson and the late Leonard Hanson. Nancy was also predeceased by 4 brothers in law, Bill Burtt, Keith Williams, Joseph Saulis and David Nye. She was such an inspiration to everyone that knew her because she looked at life differently than most of us. She loved to plan family dinners, paying attention to every item that was on the menu. She knew everyone's birthday in the entire family, but most important were hers and moms. Blue was her favorite colour, and she was surrounded by it. She was so excited when Pepsi coloured their pop blue for a short time. It was the little things that brought her joy. Speaking of "joy", that was her favorite word. She diligently went through the pages of her Bible and circled every time she saw ‘J-O-Y’. That's quite an accomplishment, and one that she tasked herself with, taking the job very seriously. Nancy loved to laugh, and her hugs were amazing. She was the joy the world needed; and still needs today. It will not be the same without her. She will be forever missed. Special thanks to Heather and Tasha for Nancy's homecare and also Extramural and Upper River Valley Hospital. Nancy is survived by her mother, Mary, 12 siblings, Claudeen Burtt (Greg Underhill), Norah Saulis, Debra O’Donnell (Robert), Linda Ballentin (Paul Brochu), Robert Hanson (Shelley), Lisa Sherwin (Blair), Susan Nye, Sandra Crawford (Kenneth), Darlene Williams-Perkins (Duane), Paul Hanson (Pattie), Scott Hanson (Patty); chosen brother, Tom Diamond (Dede) as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family. | 1379 | Obituary: On January 17th, 2018 Susan Lynn Lockhart (Prosser) ended her brief but fierce battle with cancer. Susie, as she was often called, was happiest at the beach.
