On February 25, 2019 our mom and nana very peacefully went home to be with her savior. At the very young age of three mom lost her own mother. At three she was taken from very one she knew, never to be reunited until adult years. One can only imagine the trauma she endured well into adult years she battled with a very unhappy childhood home that she grew up in. Mom did the best to overcome all of this. One would like to think she is now feeling the true love of her own Mom. Nana was a hoot she loved a good time, to dance, to sing, loved to cook and put a meal on the table for all and you had to have seconds. Mom loved her family and loved the Lord. The last few years have been a struggle, but mom is free of pain and the struggles of dementia. As I sat by mom’s bed I kept telling her it is ok. It is ok which she repeated softly to me. It’s Ok. Mom it is Ok. Now rest. We did it and as your favorite song say. I’LL be loving you Always Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2 PM to 5 PM. | 1044 | Obituary: Graydon H. Estey 1944-2013 The death of Graydon Hollon Estey of Milton, Ontario occurred on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Burlington, Ontario. Graydon was born on August 7th 1944 in the small town of Bath, New Brunswick. Graydon was the second of five children born to Rose and Arnold Estey, who were modest potato and dairy farmers in Florenceville NB. Graydon and his brothers Duane, Lloyd and Dean along with his younger sister Helen, helped work the family farm as well as working summers in the McCain fields and factory. Graydon was the consummate sports fan. As a kid he played everything from pond hockey, baseball, basketball and badminton with the passion of a true athlete. As an adult he played third base on the General Electric baseball league and then in his later years, on the Southside Community Church softball league. Anyone who knew Graydon knew he LOVED his Red Sox, and was overjoyed to spend his 65th birthday taking the grand tour of Fenway Park. If you ask Graydon how well he golfed he’d deny having any skill … and then quietly he’d walk away with the lowest score. Along with his siblings, Graydon attended school in the small Florenceville schoolhouse from kindergarten to his graduation from High School. After High School, Graydon completed an honors Electrical Engineering Degree at UNB and later, attended night school and earned a Bachelors of Business degree from the University of Toronto. After graduation he took an engineering position with the General Electric Company where he worked his way up to General Manager of their Burlington facility before taking the leap in 1988 to begin his own enterprise, Estey & Associates. In business, Graydon has enjoyed a stellar reputation among his customers and colleagues for over 45 years. Retirement just wasn’t in his vocabulary … when he was asked if he was allergic to anything his response was always, ‘nope- not even hard work’! Graydon and Peggy Grall married in 1994 and they have taken great pride in their blended family. Graydon is survived by his two children, Jason, Kendra, and his step- children Dan, Loren, Rachel and the six smartest grandchildren you ever saw: Ellie, Kailey, Brielle, Danica, Brecker and Jensen. Graydon loved working with wood, and spent many happy hours in his garage creating the beautiful pieces of furniture that now sit in many of our homes. Graydon was a valued member of the Southside Community Church in Milton, where he volunteered his time to assist in looking after the maintenance for the facility. Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville -Bristol on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 4-6 pm. After Elaine's passing, Kent married Isabel Morton, and welcomed her children and family into his life: Curtis (Lea), Kelly (Mike), Matt (Raina), Michelle (Abbie), and Craig. | 1052 | Obituary: Hargrove (Giberson), Polly Norma. Age 89, of Bath, NB passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2015. Polly was born on July 26, 1925 in Weaver, NB … a small and rural community near Plaster Rock. She was the daughter of James Giberson and Lillian (Holmes) Giberson and had five brothers and sisters: Doris, Jack, Holland, Marie and Mark. Polly left home at age 13 to attend high school in Bath, NB. It was here that she met her future husband, Bernard and where they enjoyed a happy, loving and successful life together. Polly graduated as President of her high school class in 1942. After graduation, Polly began working as one of the first female bank tellers at the Bank of Nova Scotia, first in Bath and later, in Truro and Montreal. She and Bernard married when she was 21 and he was 22. After a brief period of working in Montreal, they returned home to start their very large family of 12 children: Gregor was born in 1947, Jennifer in 1949, Basil in 1951, Garfield in 1952, Hilery in 1955, Jaye in 1957, Larry in 1958, Cheryl Lynne in 1961, Jeff in 1962, Darren in 1964, Heidi in 1966 and Jill in 1970. Her experience at the bank was put to good use over the years as she and Bernard raised their family and operated several small businesses: a contracting firm to help bring water and electricity to homes in rural New Brunswick; selling household appliances and snowmobiles; managing multiple rental properties; and building and operating a private hydro-electric dam on the Monquart stream in Bath. Polly was the ultimate money manager, and kept the large household and businesses running smoothly. She lovingly cooked thousands of delicious and healthy meals for her family and Bernard’s work crew, paid the bills, did the shopping, and supported Bernard and her children in countless small and tremendous ways. She did all this with a smile, with generosity, and with kindness. Anyone who knew Polly, loved her. She had a very rare and special spirit. She was generous and loving, both in thought and deed. She was kind, warm, welcoming, thoughtful, intelligent and wise. She loved her family unconditionally and each of them felt that love whenever they were near her. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Bernard, who shared 68 beautiful married years as her best friend, partner and confidant. Her family will always remember her as the most patient and wonderful mother they could possibly imagine. Polly was a prolific correspondent and wrote meaningful cards and letters to her large number of family and friends. Polly’s children and grandchildren - and their spouses - could always count on receiving birthday, Valentine, Easter, and Christmas cards in the mail … usually with a cheque inside to treat themselves to something special. Polly loved Christmas, and giving presents all year long was one of her special traits. When asked what she might like for Christmas, a birthday or anniversary, the answer would always be: “Not a thing. Just to have you home will be my present.” She was always happiest when her children, grandchildren and those around her were happy too. Polly is survived by husband Bernard, sister Doris Thomson of Arnprior, ON, brother Mark Giberson (Diana) of Kingston, NB, daughter Jennifer Oakes of Fredericton, NB (Bill); son Basil Hargrove of Melbourne, Australia; son Garfield Hargrove of Bath, NB (Sandra); son Hilery Hargrove of Plaster Rock, NB; daughter Jaye Hargrove of Bath, NB; son Larry Hargrove of Toronto, ON (Anna); son Jeff Hargrove of Bath, NB (Rose Lee); son Darren Hargrove of Saint John, NB; daughter Heidi Grant of Bath, NB; and daughter Jill Niedermayer of Halifax, NS (Richard). Polly was predeceased by infant daughter Cheryl Lynne in 1961 and eldest son Gregor in 2008. Polly will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 21 grandchildren: Jeremy and Ben Oakes; Josh and Jana Hargrove and Sommer Fox; Zakary and Levi Hargrove and Emily Nevers; Phoebe Tallman and Hannah Hargrove and Jason Doherty; Claire and Spencer Hargrove; Sam and Sarah Hargrove; Clay and Craig Hargrove and Shelby DeMerchant; Elias and Avery Grant; and Henry and Stella Niedermayer. Polly also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins that she very fondly regarded. Polly’s funeral service will be held at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors in Florenceville-Bristol on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3 from 7:00 … 9:00 pm and Wednesday, February 4 from 1:00 … 3:00 pm. A private burial will take place at the Pine Tree Cemetery in Bath, NB. Please feel welcome to join Polly’s family following the funeral service at their home at 121 Church Street in Bath. Donations in Polly’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or any charity of choice. The family would like to thank the many friends who have brought food, expressed their condolences, and shared loving remembrances of Polly. Thanks also to members of the United Baptist Church in Bath - where Polly was a long-time member - for providing refreshments for the reception at Polly and Bernard’s home. www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca (506) 392-1115 https://www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca/obituaries/95111 | GIBERSON, Pauline Norma (I18196)

| 1053 | Obituary: Hargrove, Bernard John - Age 95, of Bath, NB passed away peacefully at the River View Manor on December 22, 2019. Bernard was born on January 13, 1924 in Mineral, NB … a rural and close-knit farming community outside of Bath. He was the loving son of John and Fronie (MacDougall) and the last surviving sibling to brothers Russell, Basil, Bert, Vernon and sisters Flora, Mary, Avis and Mabel. Bernard was a graduate of Bath High School in 1941, Teachers College in Fredericton in 1942 and the University of New Brunswick in 1946, where he completed his degree in Electrical Engineering. Bernard married the love of his life, Polly, in 1946 and they enjoyed 68 wonderful years of marriage until her death in 2015. Together, they lovingly brought 12 children into their family. Bernard enjoyed a long and successful career as an Electrical Engineer. He worked in Montreal for two years for the Bell Telephone Company and then returned to Bath to start an electrical sales, service and contracting business with Polly by his side. Over the years, while Bernard was helping bring power to residents and businesses throughout the rural community, Polly was busy raising children and selling the first GE household appliances and snowmobiles to the area. In 1960, Bernard and Polly began developing a private hydro-electric dam and generating station on the Monquart stream in Bath. They interconnected the generating station with NB Power in 1979 and Bernard continued to work on his labour of love until a short time before his passing. Rainy days were happy days for Bernard, while Polly loved the sunshine, so they almost always found a reason to be happy. They were pioneers in the renewable energy business in New Brunswick and persevered through many difficult and challenging times to sustain the business and their family. Bernard was a gifted engineer and, with Polly’s help, he was able to bring his vision to life. Bernard very much enjoyed the outdoors - hunting and fishing and being surrounded by nature. He loved music and had a knack for playing many instruments by ear, including the fiddle, harmonica and guitar. One of her many quotes that we will recall fondly, is her genuine thank you for every item, especially a bag of potatoes, "this will do me out", said with a smile. | 1085 | Obituary: Iris I. Drost 1923-2025 Iris Irene Drost went to meet her Saviour June 27, 2025 in Ottawa, Ontario; formerly of Bath, New Brunswick. She was born August 22, 1923 to Gilbert and Bessie (nee Wallace) Marr in Devon (Fredericton), New Brunswick. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Lamarche (Denis); 4 grandchildren—Anthony Drost (Sylvia) of Newmarket, NB; Suzanne Drost of Rusagonish, NB; Melody and Stephanie Tacit of Toronto, ON; 2 great-granddaughters—Brianna and Sara Drost of Newmarket, NB; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilmot Drost, and her son Brian Drost. Iris moved to Bath in 1928, graduated from Bath High School in 1941. She was a member of the Bath Baptist Church, having been church organist for over 50 years, playing for not just church services but for many weddings and funerals in the community. Before marriage, she worked as a sales clerk at Marr’s Novelty Shop on Main Street. Being a very kindhearted person, Iris aspired to be a nurse, but caring for her very ill mother precluded formal nursing training. In the course of clerking at the store, Iris met a charming gentleman named Wilmot Drost, of Wicklow, and her heart did a backflip, as did his. They married in 1951, and raised their 2 children in Bath. Iris was a very active church member and community volunteer, raising funds for various charities, teaching Sunday School, running the ring toss booth at the annual Bath Fall Fair, bringing around the tuck shop cart at Riverview Manor, being treasurer of the Women’s Missionary Society at the Baptist Church, to name but a few of her activities. Most of all she loved being a professional homemaker and mother. God, Church, and Family were everything to her. Grief struck in 1987 with the death of her only son to leukemia, and again in 1993 when Wilmot succumbed to a heart attack. In 2013 she moved to Ottawa, ON, to be with her daughter and family. Many were blessed by her winning smile and amazing ability to listen to others. She could see people for who they are—the positives and the negatives—and chose to overlook the negatives to focus on the positives. She truly loved the people in her life, and it showed. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 7, at Oakpark Retirement Community in Ottawa, ON. Funeral will be held on July 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm from the Bath Baptist Church with internment at the Wicklow Cemetery. Donations made to Bath Baptist Church, the Wicklow Cemetery, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada are much appreciated. https://www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca/obituaries/186065 | MARR, Iris Irene (I17442)

| 1089 | Obituary: It is with broken and heavy hearts that we announce the death of Craig Robert Lovely of Richmond Corner, which occurred on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in the arms of the love of his life, Natasha Lee. Craig was born in Bath, NB on January 27, 1984 and was the son of Vanessa Hargrove and the late John Lovely. Craig is predeceased by his father; his grandfathers Arnold Hargrove and Elvin Lovely; his nan, Dorothy Lovely; and his furbaby, Trigger (aka Biggie). His childhood was filled with lots of cuddles, mischief, creativity, and play along with medical challenges which continued throughout his life. Craig had an impressive intelligence and recollection that allowed him to navigate adversity. With all of this, he always had time for a sarcastic quip and could always muster a smile IF something was funny; you could sure tell he was Arnold’s grandson. Along with his other antics, Craig’s favorite offerings included the choice of a “super nose ping” or a “super wedgie plex,” both served up with his famous mischievous grin and a sparkle in his eye. Craig had a passion for his homemade medicine that he proudly produced with his honed and most excellent horticultural skills. Craig always knew that two was better than one. He would say “a bird can’t fly on one wing” as he happily shared his gifts with friends and family. | 1096 | Obituary: It is with great sadness that the family of Dianne Patricia Quinn announce her sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 24th, 2021. Born in Bath, NB on February 4th, 1942, to the late Aubrey and Ruby Martin, Dianne’s birth was an unexpected surprise as she followed “older” brother Donald by only a few minutes. The twins (better known as Poppy and Posie) had a combined weight of less than 5lbs and were kept in a shoebox on the oven door for warmth. The legend is they weren’t bathed their whole first year for fear of developing a chill. Although tiny in stature compared to her much taller twin brother Poppy, she always felt and acted as if she was 6′ tall, maintaining her feisty independent nature until the end. A proud, devoted and dedicated mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Posie spent her life caring for her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for chocolate, Tim Horton’s coffee, Mahjong, golf and her most favorite sport, curling. For her birthday this year, her children surprised her with a video message from her idol Brad Gushue, and it was quite a hit. Posie leaves to mourn her children Karyn (Curtis), Kristyn (Randy) and Peter (Connie) all of Saint John; her grandchildren Adam, William, Matthew, Jordan, Allyson, Kimberly; great-granddaughter Aubrey; her beloved twin brother Donald “Poppy” Martin; sister-in-law Marion Wargo; brothers-in-law George Kelly, Buck Quinn (Ida), Allison Quinn (Claudia); special nieces Stephanie, Angela, Beverly, Deana, Oma Lee and many other cherished nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her husband Peter Frederick Quinn in 1990 and daughter Kimberly Ann in infancy. Posie was also predeceased by her beloved sisters Suzanne and Audrey; brothers Douglas “Dicey” and Dean Martin and son-in-law David Ross. Mom had a great sense of humour and was always up for a laugh. She had specially requested her grand-dogs to be honorary pallbearers, and although she may have been kidding us a little, it can’t be said we didn’t follow directions! Sammy, Jag, Nyota, Ruby, Rudy, Nova, Luna, Zeus, Ander, Braxton kindly all have the honour of escorting Mom to a better place. Our family would like to thank Mom’s wonderful neighbours Judy and Mark Drew and their grandson, Hunter, for everything they did each day to help Mom, enabling her to maintain her independence in the comfort of her own home. Also, a big thank you to the caring staff of SJRH Emergency Department and the kind paramedics who responded to our call. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 28th from 10 till 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Posie may be made to The Kidney Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
