Glassville (Carleton Co.) May 12 - Death has again entered the neighborhood and removed one of the old settlers, Mrs. Joseph PEARSON. Within the last few years she was called upon to weep over the loss of her husband and several members of her family cut down in the promise of their days. Her remains were followed to the grave Friday 6th. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Bearisto, Presbyterian. Mrs. Pearson, whose maiden name was Mary McDIARMID was a native of Glasgow, Scotland and came with her father, mother and family to Miramichi when she was four years of age. The family afterwards removed to Kings Co. where she was married to the late Joseph PEARSON, a native of Northumberland, England. She, her husband, and family came to Glassville 24 years ago.
