    Following a period of failing health, Vera Kennard of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at an Edmonton health care facility on the morning of April 11, 2020.

    Vera was born in North View, NB, on June 14, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rena (Beach) Burgoyne. Vera was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves behind her daughters, Grace Steele (Carmen) of Hall's Harbour, NS, Carol Clark of Fredericton, NB, Jill Warawa of Fort St. John, BC, Susan Holmes (Peter) of Edmonton, AB; her sons, Lee Kennard (Margaret) of Ignace, ON, Bruce Kennard (Diane) of Sioux Lookout, ON, Douglas Kennard (Bev) of Fort McLeod, AB, and Sterling Kennard (Erma) of Edmonton, AB; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

    Vera was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Elsworth Kennard; her daughter, Cheryl Ann Kennard; her son, Percy Ernest "Lynn" Kennard; her grandsons, Michael and Justin; her sisters, Hazel MacQueen, Norma Larlee, Lottie Harrison, and Hattie Green; her brothers, Ross and Bruce Burgoyne.

    A graveside celebrating Vera's life will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Esdraelon, NB, on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2 pm.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.

    Vera married Elsworth Leroy KENNARD on 28 Oct 1939 in Plaster Rock, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada. Elsworth was born on 1 Mar 1918 in Arthurette, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada; died on 20 Apr 1967 in Mataquac, York County; was buried on 12 Jun 1967 in Esdraelon (Forest Hill) Cemetery, Esdraelon, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.
