    OBITUARY: Helen Pauline Briggs went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Elmer; three daughters, Elaine Briggs of Riverview, NB, Anne (Russell) Derrah of Oakville, ON, and Paula (Harold) Crabbe of Bristol, NB; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Hazen (Irene) Perkins; and sisters-in-law, Pauline Griffin, Betty Hayward and Joan (Alden) Lunn. / Visitation will be held at the Faith Memorial United Church, Burnham Rd., Florenceville on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Church on Sunday at 2 pm, Rev. Les Johnston to officiate. Interment will be in the Glassville United Church Cemetery at a later date. www.kilcollins.com.     Mrs Elva Curtis, 60, died at her home here after a long illness. Before her marriage she was Miss Elva Tapley. She is survived by nine daughters: Mrs George Kilcollins, Denver, Colorado; Mrs Joseph Gillin, Blaine, Maine; Mrs Foster Nevers and Mrs William DeMerchant, Houlton, Maine; Mrs William Perkins,Esdraelon, NB; Mrs Clarence Sanger,Lowell, Mass; Mrs Robert McDonald, Upper Woodstock, Mrs Blair Reid, Williamstown, NB; Mrs Emery Campbell, Wicklow, NB; and three sons, Allie,Stickley, NB; Henry and Donald at home; one sister, Mrs Rainsford Giberson, Bristol,NB and one brother, Perley Tapley, Bristol,NB. The funeral was held from her residence with services at her home and in the Primitive Baptist Church, Bristol. Rev A. A. Hatfield officiating.
