James and Mary came to Canada and settled in Glassville in 1864. They arrived with two or three young children, and more were born after their arrival. James was granted lot 57, south of Green Brook. His farm was later owned by Charles Porter and others. James and Mary lived the rest of their lives in Glassville. James died the 20th of April 1917, and Mary died the 6th of May, 1919.
