    Gweneth Millie Gray, 87, formerly of Mill Road, North Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Gray. Gwen was born in Glassville, New Brunswick, Canada on November 14, 1928; daughter of the late John P. and Beatrice Foreman Millie; graduated Normal School and was a teacher in a one room school house in New Brunswick. She had worked for Eyelet Speciality. Gwen was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family was her greatest enjoyment. Mother of Paula Watson VanSingel (David), Barbara Anne Gray, Linda Gray Watson (Brian), Kevin E. Gray (Cathy) and the late John R. Gray. Sister of Irvine Millie (Edna), Ena Hicks, Anne Schure, Ted Millie (Dot), Larry Millie (Carol), Brenda Jardine (Darryl) and the late Grace Demmings, Donald Millie and Sheila Simmonds. Also survived by nine grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.
    The visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to the North Haven Congregational Church on Saturday morning at 11:00 to attend a funeral service and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in the North Haven Center Cemetery.     Funeral services for Beatrice Millie were held at Kilcollin’s Funeral Home in Bath. N.B., on Feb. 1, 1987. Rev. J. Leland officiated. Mrs. Elaine White was organist and soloist.

    Mrs. Millie was born in Stanley, N.B., the daughter of Katherine and Alexander Foreman. Her death occurred at the Carleton Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. She is survived by 6 daughters and 3 sons: Mr. Irvine Millie, Toronto ; Mrs. Grace Demmings, Perth-Andover; Mrs. Gwen Gray, Connecticut; Mrs. Ena Hicks, Winnipeg; Mrs. Anne Schure, Minnesota; Mrs. Sheila Simmonds, Windsor, Ont.; Mr. Terry Millie, Saint John; Mr. Larry Millie, Woodstock and Mrs. Brenda Jardine, Nackawic; two sisters: Mrs. Malcolm MacKinnon and Mrs. Dora Dunphy, of Stanley; 29 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her hus­band, John Millie, in 1963; a son, Donald Millie in 1983; and a grandson Mark Schure in 1986, and a brother and sister. Mrs. Millie lived in Bath, N.B., for many years. She moved to the W.I. Home in Woodstock in 1977 and to the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland in 1984.

    She was a member of the United Church in Bath; a faithful member of the United Church Women and a life member of the W.I.

    Pallbearers were: Mr. Howard Broad, Bath; Mr. Jack Pearson, Bath; Mr. Gene Gorman, Glassville and Mr. Norman Bubar, Florenceville. Interment will take place in the spring at the Glassville Cemetery.
