    The death of Ronald Harry Purinton of Florenceville-Bristol occurred on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born November 10, 1932 he was the son of the late Benn and Rowena (Crouse) Purinton. Ronald was also predeceased by his wife, Phyllis and 1 great grandson, Micah Vale.

    Ronald is survived by his 4 children, Meda (Bill) Graham of Nackawic, Nancy (Randy) Reed of Plaster Rock, Bev (Kathy) Purinton of Saint John, David (Maryann) Purinton of Florenceville-Bristol; grandchildren, Greg (Sarah Kidd) Graham, Ellen (Mark) Vale, Jessica (Nick) Shaw, Cole Reed, Benn Purinton, Julia Purinton, Nicholas Purinton, Mitchell Purinton; great grandchildren, Nora Vale, Everett Vale, Everly Shaw, Wyatt Shaw; 1 brother, Veer (Una) Purinton; 2 brothers in law, George Clark and Ervine DeLong (Bonnie) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4-8 pm from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm from True North Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Palmer will officiate. Interment will be in the Bristol Community Cemetery.     Of Woodstock, formerly of Jacksonville passed away at Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock on Saturday, September 27, 2003, at the age of 97. Rowena is survived by two sons, Ronald Purinton and his wife Phyllis of Florenceville, NB. and Vear Purinton and his wife Una of Woodstock, NB; She is also survived by one brother, Basil Crouse of Woodstock, NB; one sister, Ruby Stiles of Hartland; NB; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, William and Martha (Rideout) Crouse and her husband W. Benn Purinton.

    Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB.,with visitation on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Wellwood will be officiating, with interment in the Baptist Cemetery, McKenkie Corner, NB.
