    Obituary:
    Funeral services for the late Russell Walter Taylor of Woodstock were held from McMullin's Funeral Home on November 24th with Rev. James Webber assisted by Rev. Henry Allaby. The late Mr. Taylor was a son of Arthur Manning and Lila Marie (Baker) Taylor of Woodstock. Born on April 28th, 1914, he lived most of his life in Woodstock except for a period of service in World War Two when he served overseas with the Carleton & York Regiment and the North Nova Scotia Highlander Regiment. He passed away on November 22nd in Carleton Memorial Hospital. He had been engaged in retail business in Woodstock most of his adult life. Interment took place in the Houlton Road Cemetery at which the Canadian Legion was represented and The Last Post was rendered by a legion bugler.
