Donald “Donnie” Eric Giberson of Wakefield passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He was born April 16, 1948 and was the son of the late Jack and Edith Giberson. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Christopher Giberson; sister, Sheila Giberson; brother-in-law, Harold Underhill.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Beatrice Giberson of Wakefield; children, Rebecca “Becky” Giberson of Ashland, Hank (Kimberley) Giberson of Wakefield, Heather (Bobby) Clark of Bannon; grandchildren, Naomi (Robert) Tappin, Jedediah (Riley McIntosh) Giberson, Nathanial Clark, Brandon (Casey Denny) Clark, Nicholas Clark, Brody Clark, Melissa (Nick McQuade) Giberson; great grandchildren, Madison Tappin, Lillian Tappin, Landon McQuade; sisters, Nancy (Blair) Shaw, Barbara Underhill: brothers, Aubrey (Elizabeth) Giberson, Allen (Marie) Giberson; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4th, 2018 at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday the 5th at 2:00 p.m. from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel in Hartland. Jack Giberson of Woodstock, formerly of Somerville passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. He was born December 21, 1925 and was the son of the late Cecil and Idella (Shaw) Giberson. He was predeceased by his wife Edith Giberson; daughter, Sheila Giberson; grandchildren, Christopher Giberson, Sandra Giberson, Sarah Giberson; son-in-law, Harold Underhill; sisters, Verna Derrah, Flora Farstead, Lottie McConaghy.

She was the daughter of the late James and Grace (Neales) Pratt. Edith was predeceased by a daughter, Sheila Giberson; three grandchildren, Christopher Giberson, Sandra Giberson, Sarah Giberson; four sisters, Helen Stephens, Marjorie Stockford, Mary Cullin, Evelyn Harris; brother, Robert Pratt.

WAS OLDEST BRISTOL RESIDENT
Friends and relatives were saddened to learn of the death on January 3, of Jedidiah Giberson, one of Carleton County's oldest residents, at the home of Mrs. Pearl McDougall at Upper Kent. Mr. Giberson was 96 years and three months of age, and the son of Jedidiah and Annetta Giberson. He was born at Bristol. During much of last year he had been failing health. The deceased was a lifelong resident of the Bristol community, well known and for years successfully operated a woodworking factory. He was a valued member and an official of the Primitive Baptist Church at Bristol. He is survived by four sons and four daughters. His wife, the former Frances Wiggins [sic, Frances Lockhart], predeceased him 22 years ago. The sons are Lewis Giberson, Bath; Rev. Earl Giberson, Hartland; Cecil, Bristol; and Frank of South Lyon, Michigan; Daughters are Mrs. Travers Brewer (Alice), Bristol; Mrs Elmer Dovey (Hepsy), Carajou, Alberta; Mrs. Viola Williams (Viola), Glechin, Alberta; and Mrs. Allen Lamont (Leota), Woodstock, as well as 34 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Interment was in the family lot of the Primitive Baptist Cemetery at Bristol.

Jedediah married Frances Minerva LOCKHART. Frances (daughter of Isaiah LOCKHART and Lydia Ann SHAW) was born on 12 Aug 1865 in Bristol, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada; died on 12 Apr 1939 in Bristol, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada; was buried in 1939 in Bristol Old Cemetery, Florenceville-Bristol, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.
