    1926-2010
    Milton Giberson of Hartland passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Lansdowne Special Care Home in Lansdowne. Milton was born February 23, 1926 and was the son of the late Earl and Nellie (DeLong) Giberson. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Shaw) and a sister Wilda Dyer.

    Milton is survived by his children, Ruth (Donald) Newton of Black River, NB, Gordon Giberson of Ashland, NB, Roy (Darlene) Giberson of Somerville, NB, Joan (Roger) Weeks of Lower Brighton, NB; grandchildren, Mark Newton, Brent (Joanne) Newton, Marlene Newton, Felicia Giberson, Christopher Giberson, Ashley Giberson, Cole Weeks, Dylan Weeks, brother, Leighton Giberson, sister, Vada Boone, nieces and nephews.

    Resting at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel in Hartland.     WAS OLDEST BRISTOL RESIDENT
    Friends and relatives were saddened to learn of the death on January 3, of Jedidiah Giberson, one of Carleton County's oldest residents, at the home of Mrs. Pearl McDougall at Upper Kent. Mr. Giberson was 96 years and three months of age, and the son of Jedidiah and Annetta Giberson. He was born at Bristol. During much of last year he had been failing health. The deceased was a lifelong resident of the Bristol community, well known and for years successfully operated a woodworking factory. He was a valued member and an official of the Primitive Baptist Church at Bristol. He is survived by four sons and four daughters. His wife, the former Frances Wiggins [sic, Frances Lockhart], predeceased him 22 years ago. The sons are Lewis Giberson, Bath; Rev. Earl Giberson, Hartland; Cecil, Bristol; and Frank of South Lyon, Michigan; Daughters are Mrs. Travers Brewer (Alice), Bristol; Mrs Elmer Dovey (Hepsy), Carajou, Alberta; Mrs. Viola Williams (Viola), Glechin, Alberta; and Mrs. Allen Lamont (Leota), Woodstock, as well as 34 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Interment was in the family lot of the Primitive Baptist Cemetery at Bristol.

    Jedediah married Frances Minerva LOCKHART.
